The prefabricated steel corrugated culvert offers numerous advantages including exceptional strength, a lightweight structure, ease of transportation, and straightforward installation processes. To address the challenges posed by frost heave and foundation settlement in various regions, both inner and outer surfaces of these corrugated pipe sections, along with the fastening bolts, are treated with hot-dip galvanization to thwart rust development.   • Soft soil locations need supportive measures such as CFG foundation piles or adequate gravel cushions.

Installation Procedures

  • Conduct thorough checks to confirm all components align with design specifications, adjusting where necessary.

Pipe Connections

Connect each sewer segment carefully, using appropriate materials to fill gaps without compromising structural integrity. After installation, verify that all connections meet the original design requirements.

Backfilling and Foundation Integrity

The backfilling can be undertaken via two methods: embankment or reverse slot backfill, ensuring proper soil compaction throughout.

Finalize construction with the considerations for paving and slope protection at the tunnel entrance, ensuring robust materials and precise measurements are observed.
